remoteroles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Set the data platform’s direction across ingestion, modeling, quality, and delivery to customer-facing and internal products
  • Investigate data anomalies and metric mismatches, then work with engineering to address root causes
  • Create quality standards, service targets, and monitoring that surface data problems before customers encounter them
  • Turn internal teams’ and multifamily operators’ needs into platform requirements, then help engineering and data science prioritize the work
  • Track platform health, adoption, and business impact, and assess data sources or partners that could improve market intelligence

What you bring

  • At least eight years across product management, data science, or analytics, including four years managing data products or platforms
  • Training or experience in data science, analytics, or a quantitative discipline such as statistics or computer science
  • A record of tracing complex data problems from the initial anomaly through to a shipped correction
  • Working knowledge of data pipelines, ETL or ELT, warehousing, modeling, and data quality tools
  • Experience partnering with data engineers and data scientists, plus the technical depth to question assumptions

Who this fits

This senior role suits someone who can combine product direction with hands-on data investigation, including SQL and pipeline work. The job is remote across most of the U.S., with in-person offsites. Applicants must already be authorized to work for any U.S. employer; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

From the employer

We’re Changing the PropTech Industry

We’re a profitable, growth-stage company building industry-leading martech and data products for the PropTech space. Our focus is on our category-leading AI and data SaaS products with triple-digit growth rates.

We’re a fully remote team of 100+ spread across the U.S. from coast to coast. We operate on a strict no a**holes policy and are proud to have built a community of highly performant people that take our work seriously, but not ourselves. And, we're looking for exceptional people to help further accelerate our growth.

While we’ve raised $30MM+ to date from some of the world’s best investors, we’re profitable with a strong balance sheet and an indefinite runway. We pride ourselves on achieving rapid growth without having to incinerate capital.

About Our Products

ApartmentIQ is the all-in-one data platform powering smarter decisions across multifamily—covering 40M units with daily property and market intelligence used for surveys, research, and revenue management. We're trusted by 65% of the NMHC Top 50. Our sister company, MavenAI, delivers AI-powered marketing automation built by industry experts and integrated directly with property management systems, serving over 2M units.

We’re looking for a Technical Staff Product Manager to own ApartmentIQ’s data platform, the foundation behind the market intelligence multifamily operators rely on every day. This role is for someone with a data science or analytics background who is as comfortable writing SQL and digging into a pipeline as they are setting product direction.

You’ll set the vision and roadmap for how we ingest, model, validate, and deliver data, working closely with data engineering, data science, and product teams. When something looks off, you’ll dig in yourself: run the analysis, trace the issue to its root cause, and turn what you find into fixes and platform improvements. You’ll also work directly with customers to learn how they use our data,

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy and roadmap for the data platform, including ingestion, data models, data quality, and delivery to internal and customer facing products
  • Lead root cause analysis on data quality issues, anomalies, and metric discrepancies, and work with engineering on fixes that last
  • Define data quality standards, SLAs, and monitoring so issues are caught before they reach customers
  • Partner with data engineering and data science to scope technical requirements, weigh tradeoffs, and prioritize the backlog
  • Turn the needs of internal data users (product, analytics, data science, customer success) and multifamily operators into clear platform requirements
  • Define and track the metrics that measure platform health, adoption, and business impact
  • Evaluate data sources, vendors, and partnerships that expand the depth and accuracy of our market intelligence
  • Explain technical concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of combined experience in product management, data science, or data analytics, including at least 4 years managing data products or data platforms
  • Background in data science, analytics, or a quantitative field such as statistics, economics, or computer science
  • A track record of root cause analysis on complex data issues, from spotting the anomaly to shipping the fix
  • Solid understanding of modern data stack concepts: pipelines, ETL/ELT, data warehousing (Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or similar), data modeling, and data quality tooling
  • Experience working closely with data engineers and data scientists, with enough technical depth to earn their trust and challenge assumptions
  • Ability to turn ambiguous, messy data problems into clear priorities and actionable product plans
  • Experience in a fast moving B2B SaaS environment; real estate, PropTech, or market data experience is a plus
