About the role
Branch launched its lending business in India in 2019 and has seen rapid adoption and growth. We are growing our product and engineering team in India. As part of the product team, you will work closely with our global engineering team (distributed across three continents) to strengthen the capabilities of our existing product and build out new products for Branch.

As a company, we are passionate about our customers, fearless in the face of barriers, and driven by data. As a product-driven org, we value bottom-up innovation and decentralized decision-making. We believe the best ideas can come from anyone in the company, and we create an environment where everyone feels empowered to propose solutions to the challenges we face. As a Product Manager, you will help the team achieve its goals through deep product work and servant-style leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Obsess over the customer. Understand customer problems through data analysis, user research, and direct customer feedback.
  • Turn ambiguity into clarity. Break complex business problems into clear product opportunities and actionable roadmaps.
  • Build products people love. Define product requirements and partner closely with Engineering and Design to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Experiment relentlessly. Design experiments, analyze results, and use evidence—not opinions—to make product decisions.
  • Own outcomes, not outputs. Track product performance through metrics, identify opportunities, and continuously improve customer and business outcomes.
  • Win as one team. Collaborate with Risk, Operations, Data Science, Compliance, Design, and Engineering to solve customer problems together.
  • Expand what's possible. Evaluate and manage third-party partnerships and integrations that accelerate our roadmap.
  • Shape the future. Contribute to product strategy by identifying opportunities that create long-term value for our customers and the business.

What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you'll likely have:

  • Shipped multiple customer-facing product improvements.
  • Independently owned one or more product initiatives.
  • Designed and analyzed experiments that influenced roadmap decisions.
  • Improved key business metrics such as conversion, activation, repayment, retention, or operational efficiency.
  • Become a trusted partner to Engineering, Design, Risk, and Operations teams.

About you

  • You thrive in ambiguity. Demonstrated the ability to manage projects, bring clarity to ambiguous questions, and chart a path forward.
  • You think in numbers. Top-notch analytical abilities. You can measure initiatives quantitatively, and you draw actionable insights to guide decisions.
  • You elevate the team. You know that startups are a team sport. You listen to others, speak your mind, and ask the right questions. You are a great collaborator and teacher. Effective written communication skills and the ability to work with remote teams are essential.
  • You never stop learning. You are eager to learn new skills, solve complex problems, and work closely with diverse teams, including Design and Engineering.
  • You have a bias for action. You are resourceful. You know how to do more with less, and you've worked on lean teams that have had a large impact. You are not afraid of big challenges, and you do whatever it takes to get the job done.

Additional Criteria

  • 1 to 3 years of total experience
  • Experience with Fintech industry would be good, but not a must-have

Benefits of Joining

  • Competitive salary and equity package
  • Fast-paced, collaborative, and high-autonomy work culture
  • Hybrid work setup designed for flexibility and work-life balance
  • Fully paid group medical insurance and personal accident insurance
