  • Write and debug integrations and scoped production updates using the listed software stack
  • Develop reusable connectors, setup patterns and documentation to speed future customer implementations
  • Bring repeated customer needs to engineering and product teams as shared capabilities and roadmap input

What you bring

  • You understand APIs and how information passes between systems
  • You know Ruby on Rails, React or TypeScript, or are ready to learn the stack

Who this fits

This mid-level role suits someone who enjoys customer-facing technical work and can switch between demos, onboarding and coding. You’ll work with an Engineering Manager while helping establish the solutions engineering function as its priorities evolve. You must live in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment; California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories and locations outside the United States are excluded.

From the employer

About Reserv

Reserv builds AI and automation technology that simplifies insurance claims. Through AiDE, we’re bringing technology developed in our own claims operation to insurers, MGAs, brokers, and captives across the market. Our products help organizations turn complex insurance data into useful information and put AI to work in their existing workflows.
We’re hiring our first Solutions Engineer to help customers understand what’s possible, get them successfully onboarded, and shape how our technology becomes a scalable platform for the insurance industry.

You’ll work directly with customers and alongside our engineering and commercial teams, moving between product demonstrations, technical discovery, configuration, integrations, and production code. You’ll report to an Engineering Manager and help establish how solutions engineering works at Reserv.

Your focus will evolve with the business. While customers are evaluating our products, you’ll lead technical conversations, build demos, and improve the platform’s readiness for broader adoption. As customers sign, you’ll spend more time configuring workflows, building integrations, and shipping the changes needed to get them live. Throughout that work, you’ll identify opportunities to make each implementation easier and more repeatable.

Location Requirement

Candidates must reside in an eligible U.S. state throughout employment. We are unable to hire candidates residing in California, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, or outside the United States.

In this role, you will:

  • Bring the product to life. Partner with the commercial team to deliver demos tailored to customer needs, answer technical questions, and demonstrate how our AI capabilities can improve their workflows.
  • Understand customer requirements. Work with business and technical stakeholders to understand their systems, data, and goals, then translate those needs into practical implementation plans.
  • Own technical onboarding. Guide customers from discovery through configuration, integration, validation, and launch, working with engineering to resolve issues along the way.
  • Build integrations and ship code. Independently build integrations, troubleshoot customer workflows, and ship scoped production changes across our Ruby on Rails, React, and TypeScript stack. Partner with the engineering team on larger platform and architecture decisions.
  • Make implementations repeatable. Create reusable connectors, configuration patterns, and documentation that make it faster to onboard the next customer.
  • Help define and build the platform. Partner with engineering and product stakeholders to determine how technology built for Reserv should work for external customers. Turn recurring needs into shared capabilities and help prioritize the roadmap.
  • Help customers apply AI effectively. Explain what our products can do, set clear expectations, and validate that implementations solve the customer’s problem.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with customers in a technical role, such as solutions engineering, implementation, technical consulting, or software engineering.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts, lead a demo, and ask questions that uncover what a customer actually needs.
  • Practical software development experience, including writing and debugging code, building integrations, and delivering scoped changes to a production codebase.
  • Familiarity with APIs, integrations, and moving data between systems.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, React, or TypeScript—or a willingness to learn our stack.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a strong interest in how they can improve real business workflows.
  • Sound judgment about what you can deliver independently and when to involve the broader engineering team.
  • Ownership, curiosity, and comfort working in a new role where priorities and processes will evolve
  • Insurance experience is welcome, but not required. We can teach you the domain. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with customers, building useful software, and exploring what AI can make possible.
Success in your first six months will mean helping onboard our first AiDE customer, delivering reusable integrations, and turning what you learn into improvements that make future demos and implementations easier.

Benefits

  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy – we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy after 8 months of continuous work
  • Work from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!

At Reserv, we value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences and believe that diversity in viewpoints and critical thinking drives innovation, first-principles thinking, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from all walks of life to apply. If you believe you are a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you!
