What you'll do
- Act as the HR contact for assigned employees or business units, and move core HR processes and projects forward
- Handle managers’ first employee-relations questions, escalating to the HR Director at the right point
- Bring new hires into designated groups and administer their benefits, including enrollment, termination and education
- Maintain HR records in Workday and Paylocity, and coordinate with payroll when support is needed
- Oversee safety records and workers’ compensation claims, while spotting and addressing legislative compliance gaps

- You have experience using Workday and Paylocity for HR information management
- You can handle initial employee-relations matters and know when to involve the HR Director

This part-time, mid-level role is remote in Canada. You’ll support assigned employee groups and managers, with the HR Director involved in employee-relations matters when appropriate.

Proactively support the delivery of HR processes and manage assigned HR projects
Be a preliminary point of contact for managers for employee relations issues; involve the Director of HR at the appropriate time.
New hire onboarding for designated groups
Assist with the administration of company benefits including, but not limited to enrollment, termination and education for designated groups
Support and partner with the Payroll Manager as needed.
General maintenance / use within Workday (HRIS) & Paylocity
Provide necessary training to employees and managers, as required.
Build strong business relationships with internal clients
Ensure compliance with necessary legislative practices and actively identify gaps, propose and implement changes as necessary
General HR support and assist with HR Projects, as assigned
Manage OSHA log & workplace safety to include workers comp claims
Salary Range (Ontario & BC Only):
The estimated base salary range for this role is CAD$144,031.68 - CAD$176,038.72 per year.
