Role brief

remoteroles summary, based on the employer's posting.

What you'll do

  • Find and close new agency and brand accounts through outbound prospecting, referrals, events and existing contacts
  • Recommend pricing and shape packages around show size, animation, branded elements, and repeat or multi-city bookings
  • Guide each sale from discovery and creative brief through proposal, negotiation and contract, then hand it to delivery teams
  • Grow initial activations into recurring shows or preferred-agency deals, while tracking activity and forecasting bookings
  • Use buyer feedback to improve pricing, sales materials and case studies, and help establish the sales approach

What you bring

  • At least four years carrying a sales quota in out-of-home media, sponsorships, events or experiential marketing
  • A record of meeting or exceeding quota on substantial deals, typically in the stated $60K to $250K+ range
  • Existing connections with brand marketers and relevant agencies, preferably around New York or Los Angeles
  • You can generate your own prospects, sell an idea before it is seen, and confidently recommend and defend pricing

Who this fits

This suits a senior new-business seller who can build pipeline independently and is comfortable owning complex deals and pricing. The role is remote, with New York or Los Angeles preferred, and involves travel up to thirty percent plus some evenings and weekends for shows and events. You’ll use a CRM; HubSpot experience is preferred.

From the employer

Senior Account Director

Company: Pixis Drones, LLC.
Location: New York or Los Angeles preferred / Remote
Reports to: Head of Sales
Classification: Exempt, Full-Time
Travel: Up to 30%

What We're About:
Pixis Drones is building the most exciting new media platform in marketing: the night sky. Hundreds of synchronized drones turn a brand's logo, product, or message into a moment an entire crowd looks up at together, and then shares. We blend creative storytelling with cutting-edge technology to create aerial displays that people remember long after the last drone lands.

What This Role is About:

We are hiring one of our founding sellers. As Senior Account Director, you will be selling something nobody else in the room has, to brands and agencies that are always looking for the thing that breaks through. You will open the doors, lead the pricing conversations, and help write the playbook for how this category gets sold.

This role is ideal for a proven hunter who has closed meaningful deals in out-of-home media, sponsorships, events, or experiential marketing, and who already has brand and agency relationships that take their calls. If you like a challenge and want to be early at a company creating a new media channel, this is the seat.

What You'll Do:
New Business & Relationships
  • Prospect and close brand and agency accounts through outbound outreach, referrals, events, and the relationships you already have.
  • Build your own book of business, generating net-new pipeline rather than relying on inbound leads.
  • Position drone shows as premium media for product launches, brand reveals, sponsor takeovers at festivals and stadiums, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Invite prospects to live shows and let the product do the selling.
Pricing & Deal Strategy
  • Own the pricing conversation. When a client asks what it costs, answer quickly and with a clear recommendation.
  • Build tiered packages based on drone count, show length, custom animation, branded QR codes and logos, and multi-city or multi-date runs.
  • Run the full sales cycle, from discovery and creative brief through proposal, negotiation, and contract, with a clean handoff to production and creative.
Account Growth & Pipeline
  • Turn one-off activations into seasonal commitments, multi-show agreements, and agency preferred-vendor relationships.
  • Log every touch in HubSpot, report weekly on pipeline and bookings, and forecast accurately each month.
Building the Playbook
  • Bring market feedback back to leadership to shape pricing, packaging, case studies, and sales collateral.
  • Help define how Pixis sells as we grow, setting the standard for the sellers who come after you.
Who You'll Sell To:
  • Agencies: Experiential, event production, sports and entertainment marketing, media, and PR agencies buying drone shows as a repeatable line item in client activations, including preferred-vendor and volume agreements.
  • Brands: CMOs, brand managers, and sponsorship leads at consumer, auto, beverage, tech, and retail companies buying launches, brand reveals, sponsor takeovers, and seasonal campaigns.
  • Venues & Properties: Pro teams, stadiums, festivals, resorts, and destinations selling branded shows to their own sponsors, often co-sold with the brand.
What Makes You Successful:
  • 4+ years of quota-carrying sales experience in out-of-home media, sponsorships, events, or experiential marketing.
  • A track record of hitting or beating quota on deals in the $60K to $250K+ range, not small transactional sales.
  • Active relationships with brand marketers and agencies (experiential, event, sports and entertainment, media), ideally in New York or Los Angeles.
  • A hunter's mentality, with the drive to generate your own pipeline and open new doors.
  • The ability to sell a vision before the client has seen it, backed by strong presentation and proposal skills.
  • Confidence to quote, recommend, and defend pricing without escalating every question.
  • Working knowledge of a CRM. HubSpot experience is highly preferred.
  • Willingness to work some evenings and weekends around live shows and events.
Nice to Have
  • Premium seating, suite, or hospitality sales experience with a pro team, venue, or live entertainment property.
  • Experience with live event production, drone shows, or FAA show approvals.
  • A network in sports, music festivals, auto, beverage, or consumer tech marketing.
  • Early-stage or startup experience, and a story about building something from zero.
How Success Is Measured:
In your first year, success looks like:
  • $3,000,000 in new bookings revenue
  • 25 new brand and agency accounts closed
  • 35 shows signed
  • Qualified pipeline maintained at 2x quota
  • Client pricing requests answered within one business day
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary of $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience.
  • Uncapped commission on closed revenue, with accelerators above quota.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus paid time off.
  • Front-row seats to every show you sell.
How We Work:
At Pixis Drones, precision meets creative spectacle. We engineer safety and reliability into every show, and we bring that same rigor and creativity to how we grow the business. We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and provide the systems training, mentorship, and room to grow that help you build a career here.
