From the employer
About the Team/Role:
WEX is building an enterprise Agentic AI Platform that enables teams to create, deploy, govern, and scale AI agents across the company. As the Senior AI Product Manager - Agent Platform, you will own the capabilities, builder experience, and go-to-market motions that turn this platform into something teams adopt, trust, and build on. In this hands-on role, you will move fluidly from defining capabilities to onboarding early adopters, shaping the paved roads that make building governed agents at WEX easier, faster, and more secure.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Adoption & Go-to-Market Strategy: Own the adoption lifecycle, defining onboarding paths, recruiting pilot teams, and turning successful pilots into reusable reference implementations while measuring outcomes.
- Builder Experience: Drive the end-to-end builder journey from discovery to deployment, treating documentation and self-service onboarding as product surfaces and systematically removing friction.
- Roadmap & Prioritization: Manage platform demand and maintain a transparent, user-facing capability roadmap for agent registration, model routing, identity, logging, and governed access.
- Governance & Unblocking: Partner with Security, Infrastructure, Risk, and Compliance to build enterprise governance into the paved road, ensuring the compliant path is the fastest path and removing adoption blockers.
- Release Lifecycle: Own the alpha, beta, and GA lifecycle for platform components, establishing clear entry/exit criteria and coordinating releases across interdependent components.
- Measurable Value: Define and track success metrics beyond agent registration, focusing on production use cases unlocked, time-to-value, recurring usage, and business outcomes.
Experience you’ll bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: Senior experience in Product Management, including ownership of a platform, developer tooling, API product, infrastructure, or shared service used by other teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of applied generative AI, agentic systems, LLMs, retrieval and grounding, tool use, and orchestration.
- Builder Empathy: Proven track record of driving platform adoption, owning the developer/builder experience, and creating actionable documentation, quickstarts, and reference patterns.
- Governance & Security: Solid knowledge of enterprise controls, including authentication, identity, least-privilege access, audit logging, and risk tiering.
- Hands-on Technical Depth: Ability to configure systems, call APIs, use AI-assisted tools, and read execution logs or traces (working with Markdown, JSON, YAML, etc.).
- Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex platform concepts and influence technical, security, and executive stakeholders without direct authority.
What will give you an edge:
- Experience with an AI/agent platform, model gateway, integration gateway, or tool-access protocols like MCP.
- Experience evolving an internally focused platform to support external customers or partners.
- Background in AI governance, model risk, agent registries, or responsible AI programs.
- Experience launching low-code/no-code tooling alongside developer-facing capabilities.
- Experience in highly regulated environments such as payments, fintech, or healthcare.
- Familiarity with cloud IAM, service-to-service authentication, or AI evaluation frameworks.
